Description

Every year I pore over tens of thousands of photos. Out of the chaos emerge 12 new favorites to adorn the pages of this epic wall calendar.

All photos are original landscapes and wildlife from 2020. This year features the eastern Sierra Nevada and landscapes from Montana and Wyoming.

Batch Order

Each December, I order extra calendars but they all sell out before New Year! You must place an order before December 5 to be guaranteed a calendar in my bulk order.

Supporting Conservation

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Washington Environmental Council, a Seattle-based nonprofit that supports the rights of indigenous tribes in addition to leading policies for clean energy, public lands, and wildlife in my home state. The remaining portion helps upkeep my website and newsletter and develop my communication skills through educational workshops.

The beautiful array of photos tells the story of the changing seasons in the context of multiple places and multiple types of subjects. The photography frequently leads you to look at things differently than you might otherwise do, and that combined with the scale of the calendar makes each month a striking conversation piece on my kitchen door.

Calendar Details

Days: Each month includes nature holidays and milestones, such as National Public Lands Day, World Water Day, and the day and year that key environmental laws passed in the United States, such as the Clean Water Act.

Recognition: In each description, I include the Anglicized names of indigenous tribes on whose homelands these photographs were taken. While this recognition cannot ameliorate the genocide, land theft, and centuries of injustice against Native Americans, I hope it will act as a subtle reminder of the work still remaining to bring justice and equality to all marginalized people in America. A portion of calendar proceeds will be donated to Washington Environmental Council, a Seattle-based nonprofit that works to advance indigenous rights in my home state.

Settings: Below each description I include the technical settings used to capture each photograph: shutter speed, aperture, ISO speed, and focal length.
